About Rim van Wersch ? Last update: August 29 2006

Rim is a full-time coding addict, though he manages to find some time for other things too. He's currently running his own software company called vector4 (NetForge will be kept as a trademark) together with an experienced business partner and trying (yes, trying! thanks for the feedback guys ) to get his degree in Knowledge Engineering at the University of Maastricht.

As a former Java evangelist converted to .NET, Rim's always on the lookout for new .NET things and so he got hooked on Managed DirectX. He's been actively programming in Managed DirectX and taking part in the only since summer 2005, but he's been previously active in various game communities and coding game extensions & tools.
Rim has been programming comercial projects since 1999 from the age of 18. Since this time he has worked on several projects of various sizes, ranging from simple software tools to large web solutions, employing VPN connected servers around the globe. He's been working commercially mainly in Java, C# and PHP and has been exposed to various other programming languages, such as C/C++, Lua and a few proprietary languages in non-commercial projects.

He's also been dabbling in user interface design, artificial intelligence, 3D modelling and numerous other subjects related to the IT business. His current interests include 3D graphics programming, information management and finding a commercially interesting combination of these two subjects :)
