Managed DirectX Hotlabs SeriesBy Pieter Germishuys, June 1 2006 |
Starting April 29th, Pieter is presenting a series of Game Development Hotlabs using Managed DirectX over at Durban, South Africa in collaboration with IT Intellect. These labs are focussed on getting a framework up and running and developing games with it. The presentations and samples kick off with the basics on (M)DX and will eventually cover creating various clones of famous games such as Tetris, Pacman, Akanoid etc.
Since these resources provide an excellent crash course on how to develop games using Managed DirectX, Pieter has generously made these available for download on MDXInfo. If you've ever wondered how to get started with Managed DirectX or game programming in general, there's no excuse not to try it now!
For more information on the schedule of the Hotlabs and what's covered by each lab, please refer to Pieter's blog for updates. Below you'll find the original planning and topics discussed in each of the sessions. Additional presentations and samples will be added to this page as they become available.
